We have a very high standard for what we do and how we can consistently achieve it for you and your clients. We represent you and your team, so we have curated our terms of service to ensure we run a smooth ship that allows us to be at our best day in and day out.

Things you need to know…

  • We attend properties in the following areas:

    INNER MELBOURNE/BAYSIDE MUNICIPALITIES:

    • Bayside

    • Booroondara

    • Glen Eira

    • Kingston

    • Melbourne

    • Port Phillip

    • Stonnington

    • Yarra

    We also attend homes in the following Mornington Peninsula suburbs on Monday afternoons (12 midday - 3 pm) and Thursday mornings (10 am - 12 midday):

    • Frankston

    • Mount Eliza

    • Mornington

    • Mount Martha

    • Martha's Cove

    Due to logistics, anything outside these areas is subject to quote or remote services only.

  • We attend homes between:

    • 10am - 3pm Monday

    • 10am - 4pm Tuesday to Friday.

    Due to the time required to write the days work, our copywriters only attend appointments between these times.


    Note: This means that we don’t attend dusk appointments.

  • Not every property needs on-site attendance.

    You might think we need to see the home in person to understand it - but the truth is, we don’t. We’re visual creatives, so tangible material like a video or photos can be just as good as visiting a home on-site.

    On-site services are best for occupied homes with vendors in attendance (for that extra level of service), luxury homes or properties with an impressive WOW factor that we would die to see!

    We do not attend if the home is :

    • Vacant land

    • Not liveable (land value)

    • Has been sold recently and has images and a floor plan online for us to use (we have access to Corelogic so we can search historic listings)

    • Vacant, tenanted and generic homes (think apartment or townhouse)

    • Construction sites

    NOTE:

    We cannot visit active construction sites or dilapidated homes. This is for our safety and Work Cover requirements.

    If your booking is for a home still under construction, please note we may not be able to complete our job to the highest quality, or we may have to organise protective wear.

    In these cases, additional costs will apply.

  • Ordering is easy. Just follow the instructions below:

    ON-SITE LISTING ADVERTISEMENTS: Please send the following to Mindy at hello@copythatwriters.com.au

    • Preferred date and time of your booking

    • Address of the listing

    • Access instructions (on keysafe & vacant/ owner/tenant will be home/ agent meeting on-site)

    Note: If we are already booked at the desired time, Mindy will supply you with other options to fit within your marketing schedules.

    OFF-SITE/REMOTE LISTING ADVERTISEMENTS: We prefer that you book these ahead of time so that we can ensure you aren't waiting on the copy. The best time to let us know is to book this once you have booked your photography date.

    An example of this booking is shown below (feel free to copy and paste!):

    "Hi Copy That! We're getting images for 123 Example Street, Hawthorn, on Tuesday 4th February. If all goes well, we should have these images back the following day to send to you, so can we book a remote booking for Wednesday 5th? I'll let you know if this date changes for any reason. We want the property to go live by 5 pm Thursday 6th, so if we can have the copy back Thursday morning to review and approve it, that would be great! Thank you!"

    From here, we will mark a spot for you on our calendar to ensure we have the time to write and complete this job for you by your required deadline. Those not reserved ahead of time may have a longer ETA than the usual next-day delivery, and we can't promise there will be time/space to carry out the booking on your preferred day.

    FOR REMOTE BOOKINGS, WE REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING:

    OPTION 1:Great for campaigns that don't need to be listed ASAP and have a more significant lead time. We need all of the following:

    • Professional images of the property/home

    • Site plan and floor plan (site plan is required, especially if it is acreage)

    • Full address of the home, including suburb.

    • Any notes from the vendor/agent relevant to the sale (e.g. land sizes, infrastructure on rural homes, heating/cooling systems, appliances, finishes, etc.)

    OPTION 2:Great for campaigns that need a faster turn-around or require a video script before the videographer and photographer attend the home. This is our preferred option.

    • Take a video tour of the home on your smart device. We will need you to take us through each room, starting at the front of the home, where you can show us the extent of the facade leading to the street. Show us things like flooring, high decorative ceilings, fireplaces, storage closets and brand names.

    Once you've taken the video, please send it to +61 421 950 072 on WhatsApp, or for larger files, send it throughWeTransfer(free) or your internal drive such as Google Drive or Microsoft Drive.

  • The short answer? No.

    Due to the nature of our business, we do not call your clients direct to arrange a visit, and we do not consent to our contact details being given out without our permission.

    We rely on your admin staff or agents to liaise with your own clients to avoid confusion.

  • Delivery Times:

    • ON-SITE: Next business day delivery (before 6pm AEST) from when the on-site visit occurs.

    • OFF-SITE: Next business day delivery (before 6pm AEST) from when the photos and floor plan have been received.

      e.g. If you send us material on a Saturday, you will not receive your ad until COB Tuesday, as Monday will be the business day we receive it.

    • Express fee (same day service): Subject to availability. Additional 50% fee applies.

    *These times are subject to change due to the influx of bookings around busy times of the year.

    IF YOU NEED A FASTER OR MORE SPECIFIC TURNAROUND:
    We make a point to prioritise those with deadlines, so always feel free to let us know if you have a booking that needs a faster or specific delivery time to meet your needs.

  • Changes are natural, as writing is subjective. Agents may love what we write, but vendors might want to see something a little different. And that's OK! 

    For those needing an extra little something something:

    • We offer one round of changes free of charge!

    Although we would love to say we're perfect, we're only human and understand that the first ad may not hit the mark 100% of the time. Feel free to send through changes in a reply email, and make sure the vendor's comments are included so we can deliver the product just how you want it.

    ADDITIONAL COSTS AND THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:

    • Changes made after the initial round (stated above) will be charged at $50+GST each round as an additional cost for all of our products.

    • A re-write fee of 100% will apply for those who change their mind or have extensive changes to the original product that are beyond our control (e.g. preferences in tone, extensive feedback that requires restructuring, additional information supplied after the ad is completed etc.)

    • If your changes are small (i.e. changing a word, deleting a word, or updating a land size), we are more than happy for you to make those changes yourself. We supply our work in a Word document, so this is easy for you to amend in house if needed. If the changes are extensive, or you're not sure how to make them without changing the sentence structure, please let us know, and we'll help.

  • We invoice weekly, with a strict 14 day payment term.

    If accounts are not paid in a timely fashion, we may refuse future service.

  • Otherwise known as the no dickhead policy”.

    We come to work to have a good time, so if you're having a bad day, we suggest watching a few episodes of Bluey on ABC Kids to kickstart your serotonin.

    Trust us - it's a game-changer.

    But in all seriousness, we are big on mutual respect. We work with you because you’re incredible at what you do, and vice versa. So, if there's a problem, please let us know in a respectful manner.

    We're here to help and will always strive to find solutions should problems arise - big or small. We’re not one’s to let it slip!
